When people hear that I make art supplies they think it's a very fun and easygoing job. But they don't realize the design, material sourcing, prototyping, marketing, and budgeting involved. Being part of the Chattanooga Incubator has helped me stay organized, identify the best next step, and connect with a community where I can always find answers. Just by being here I've bought materials made in the same building, worked with engineers to design and prototype paint palettes and brushes, and developed solid marketing plans with the marketing agents I've met here. I genuinely can't think of where else I would get the same experience. Maybe in another state, but I like Tennessee too much to go elsewhere.
